Introduction about my Story

I was born in Moldova and grew up in the United States. I am currently a sophomore at Northeastern University. I’m studying International Affairs and my intention is to go to law school and become a lawyer specializing in human rights law. However, I have not yet 100% decided on that path.

I have been interested in Eastern European culture and history since I was little. My mom is originally from Belarus and my dad is originally from Moldova. They both emigrated to the United States in their early 20s. I grew up hearing stories about their homeland and its rich culture. Consequently, I have always wanted to visit Eastern Europe and learn more about the region.

I finally got my chance on summer 2014, when I participated in a study abroad program in Moldova. It was an incredible experience. I loved everything about Moldova – the food, the people, the landscape, etc. After coming back to the United States, I realized that there was something special about Moldova that had captivated me. Consequently, I decided that I wanted to return to Moldova for an extended period of time to really get to know the country and its people better.

And that brings me to present day – I am currently living in Moldova. Memories bring me to my first date with Moldovan woman. It was on one of my first nights here in Chișinău (Moldova’s capital). We men on the Internet, as it often happens nowadays, and I asked her out. She agreed. I was happy 🙂

My First Date with Moldovan Girl – Who was She?

The first girl I went for a date in Chisinau was Alina, a 28-year-old Moldovan woman. She grew up in the small town of Soroca, located in northern Moldova near the border with Ukraine. Her family is of average means; her father is a factory worker and her mother is a homemaker. She also has an older brother who works as a mechanic.

After finishing high school, she studied English at a local college for two years before moving to Chisinau to continue her studies at Moldova State University. She graduated with a degree in economics in 2017 and began working for a local bank. She now works as an accountant for a large company in Chisinau.

She is single and has never been married. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, reading books, going for walks, and listening to music. Sometimes she is asked for a date, just as it was in my case.

Why did I visit Moldova?

My trip to Moldova never ever disappointed me. The capital is lovely, countryside is lovely, and the people everywhere were very kind and… lovely. I particularly enjoyed visiting the capital city of Chisinau. It has a rich history dating back to the 15th century, and there are plenty of interesting things to see and do.

One of the highlights of my trip was meeting my girlfriend, Alina. Now you see that the first date was successfull judging from the fact she’s my girlfriend now :). Alina showed me around her hometown and introduced me to her parents. We hit it off immediately, and I’m glad I took the plunge and took a chance to ask her for a date that day.

Expectations vs. Reality: Moldovan Women aren’t…

I thought Moldovan women are full of their traditional values and their ability to take care of their families. As I found out here – it is not always like that. It depends. Depends much on the family, region, personality and many other factors. And of course, Moldovan women are also known for their beauty, which is why many men are attracted to them. I expected my Moldovan date to be beautiful, traditional, and family-oriented. In my case, expectations coincided with reality. I have the best girlfriend that I could not imagine in my wildest dreams.

Pros and Cons of dating a Moldovan woman

There are many pros and cons of dating a Moldovan woman. On the one hand, she is likely to be fiercely loyal and protective of her family and friends. She is also likely to be extremely beautiful, with long dark hair and striking features. On the other hand, she may be very demanding and possessive, and may not take kindly to any perceived slights or criticisms. She may also be quite traditional in her outlook and expects her man to provide for her financially.
